a weekend spent in kansas . . .

So the weekend was good, considering that Kansas is a farm country. i'm glad my timing was zhun zhun, coinciding with the vintage car show and company event. Also i shifted to a new hotel. Much better, got restaurants, pubs and shops but since i'm on a tight allowance, it did'nt make much of a difference to me but thanks for the consideration from my office!

My new hotel, or the locals call it motel My room, got 2 beds, such a waste so i just slp with 10 pillows each nite hehe
Some river scene outside the hotel
Attended a local high school football match cox Paul's daughter is performing in the band. Well, my veri first time WATCHING football game and it's in america. Cool haha!!
Some dam they haf in kansas, very nice, veri windy

Paul drove me around to see the rich man's house. *"slurp
This one is huge!
Seems like choc labs are a fav here, this is another staff's house
& he's got 2, another is a hush puppy but it's big. . .
Stu's car, awesome!

& there's Stu, keeping the roof down when its so freaking cold. Thanks man

So here's some random vintage car shots. i haf more of course, but just to get the feel

Looks like matchbox hotwheels toy

Love the pistons sticking out

Looks like a vintage bat mobile?

Rusty and run down, but still can drive. Amazing vintage cars I like this one best. Monster truck!!
Stu and family
The ladies who organised the bbq night. Americans marry young, divorcees is so real here. They haf kids like 14yrs old and it's from 2nd wife and now got fiance. Culture shock. Crazy man.
Thanks for inviting me over Kalmareans

Sunday was company Go-kart day. It was a blast. 10mins for USD$20. Booked the whole place, it was fun. Cox i udually hang out with managements, so the lower levels come and they're like "who's this asian guy? i'm gonna kick his arse" But i pretty much freaked them out. We played 2 types of track, one's grand prix and the other circuit. Prix is lotsa curves which is a skill game cox there's so many methods to negotiate the corner while the circuit is just running around in circles, but it's alot faster and u drift alot more. More difficult to overtake also. Too much to type abt the event but hey, i could come back and do story telling to those interested when i'm back. ^^ So basically the guy in red tee is my partner, who's a jerk. more when i return home
My 2 medals, bronze and gold. Stu is very good but he only got 1 medal and he said i kicked ass for a first timer hehe. He told me to drift more and he's like to irritate me by saying "is'nt drifting started by asians?" haha..... he had the fastest lap time but i think i won becox i was consistently aggressive. It's really tiring, trust me. I made Singapore proud haha. Wonder if i still can drive my car when i get back home. Manual + Right hand drive when i'm in left handed drive countries for 2mths.....Geezzzz.....

I'm half way through dear, coming home to you soon. =)
