complains complains complains Would you take some time to read this? Haha. . . . . . . Our city got limited land space yet COE so cheap and they earn a lot through cars with a 200% tax and to counter it, increase erp gantry, extend timings and stuff. Recently also have 50% off for buying season parking at in-law’s place. I mean how often does a typical couple visit their in-laws? Once or twice a week? I think put coupon makes more sense and also won’t necessarily kena summon, just put one piece also kena $6? What a FINE city . . . Was browsing the HDB website, nice houses in Punggol but it’s BTO and gotta wait for 4-5years. Yes, our garment say will give first time house buyers priority and all these “wonderful” plans to aid them, but is it really practical in reality? Just build the houses for Christ sake, I’m very sure it’ll be sold. Don’t they have analyst to study market demands and stuff? Let’s take a typical couple for example. Both of them 25years old. Date for one year and at 26, decide to get married. They ROM say immediately and if balloting is successful, at age 27, they would have to wait 4-5years for their new house. By the time the furnish it and stuff, should be conservatively at the age of 31-32 already. Frankly if just ROM, we have heard so many times couples breaking up and stuff. Also if they are together and have a baby how? Cause chances are haven’t had banquet so in the parent’s eyes, not married but in the eyes of the law, they are married but then the girl may be under scrutiny of friends and family. Some couple even have banquet & baby but no house. Instead of planning the marriage and timing it all out due to the unavailability of a house, should’tn it be the other way round where there are affordable houses and we plan the wedding to it? Of course we argue there’s the open market but how many can afford, given today’s property inflation. For me and Princess, it’s tough but we’re going to go for the non-conventional method. Plan the wedding into one day and shift into the house, hence a lot of planning from today till we get married cause gotta find a house, reno and furnish it before our actual day and in between still gotta settle wedding issues. I seriously need vitamin M. My big toothpaste I brought from Singapore was running out and was afraid it’ll run out in Sweden, so I asked for one since all hotels would have, except the one in Sweden which is super ulu and last heard from my staff who went there before, need to even pay for internet so won’t be expecting much from that hotel. Hence I ask for toothpaste when I check in and they give me an attitude, say don’t have stock anymore. That was on the day I check in. Fine I give them the benefit of doubt so I waited till next day, had breakfast and then asked again. No stock was the answer and give me a blur f*** look. I was like than? If you recall, when I first reach America, at the immigration when i told them I’m here on a business trip after they asked, their reply was “Doesn’t America have anyone who can do the job?” I was like zzzzzzzzzzzzz. Si bei shallow and I became cocky and replied “ I’m here to advise on the strategic applications for the South East Asia Market. He kept quiet and returned my passport. Stormed back to my room. At the front desk still got a signage that if you’re not satisfied ith the service, I do not have to pay. In my room, still got signage that says toothbrush, shaver etc are covered by the hotel, just go to the front desk, and they still emphasize “We’ve got you covered”. Wah biang!!! I seriously cant stomach it. MSN with Princes for awhile and that’s it, I went down with the signage in my room toilet. Me “ I was here earlier, this is the signage in my room and here the plaque at your front desk says that you guarantee 100% satisfaction. Your attitude in handling the situation was atrocious. It is not my problem that your toothpaste are out of stock. That is a problem with your management’s stocking analysis. You’re not going to bring all these inconveniences to your guests. DO NOT THINK that I’m asian hence you’re going to treat me differently” Front Desk “ Zi tao mu deng kou dai why asian can speak so good English (I think) and ask me go to the mini stall that sells necessities and tibits and ask me to help myself” There, I won my battle. The issue here is not about at USD$1 toothpaste. I demand service because I paid for it. The other two motels/hotels cost USD$65 & USD$79 respectively and provided me with very good service. How much does this hotel cost? It is a damm USD$169 per night and no toothpaste??? Such bad attitude??? Too bad they meet me cause if I get nasty, I am very nasty. To all Americans – Wake up your idea that Singapore is not part of China and not every asian is handicap to the English language To all Singaporeans – Do not think Americans are really superior. In television only the top brass is shown but frankly, they’re just like us, simple and frugal at times and the only reason they seem to have more authority is really because they naturally have loud voices, they speak with an accent and in meetings, most of the times they talk about ideology and talk in circles. Walk along the streets, you’ll also see a lot of beggers, street hawkers who sell paper flower, tissue paper…there’s seriously another side to everything. To my Princess – I love you. Thanks for being with me through this journey and waiting for my return and seeing to our wedding needs at this point. *hugz |
