badminton craze

Well I’m an avid user of forums. It’s a great tool to get answers from communities be it cars, brides, weddings, pets, kids and now look what I found….. estate forums that has an active community to discuss issues like property prices in the locality, flea sale, town council and even meetups at people’s house to get inspiration for new home owners who are embarking on renovation or kids getting together to play or meeting up for sports etc. Cool huh.

Sometimes there are moments where pictures can’t really capture because it’s so impromptu. The little funny moments and irritating situations that we try to outdo each other. Lately we’ve embarked on sports to nurture a common interest between us which I think it’s very important between a couple cause after watching “Mars vs Venus” last night with Princess, she said to me:

Princess: the drama said that married couples after 2yrs, usually will have problems and no more common things to be shared and love sort of diminishes

Me: Oh really, I think it’s not a time factor but rather, the continuous effort to keep the flame alive, not easy, but I believe it can be done

Hence in conclusion, constant communication, I strongly believe is required to maintain a r/s, least to say a married couple. Faith and strong will must be present to keep it alive. Thou tiring at times, if one gives up making that effort, one would fall into a situation of being taken granted for. Dear, let’s not worry too much for I believe I will prove you wrong, simply cause you said our honeymoon period won’t last more than 3months but 9months going and ask yourself if that’s true? =)

Okay enuf of such ‘cheam’ topic in the morning le. The sports I was mentioning above was BADMINTON!!!! Yes…..not xiong one would say but last night, Princess finally felt the “xiongness” when we decided to have a 1hr intense game so we could rush back to watch tele.

Badminton is a game that requires a lot of skill and stamina. One more factor not to forget would be strategy. Normal people when playing won’t really chase the shuttlecock wherever it drops to strike it back. Try doing it all the way and you’ll find out just how tiring it can get. All the side step and sprinting around the mini court is enuf to kill one!

Skill – Back hand, lobbing, snapping, dropping at corners, faking, strength control, smashing, etc….. really need to improve on it.

Stamina – Try playing with a opponent who drops it all over the court and u’ll know hwo tiring it can get.

Strategy – At times to break the momentum of normal serves, one needs to drop or smash it tactically and play abit of aggression. Also reading the person’s style, noticing their weakness (some people fail on backstroke when served towards them), making them tired by running around is methods to outplay opponents who are stronger in techniques, hence having to make them tired.

I’m gonna re-string my racket soon. Hopefully the frame can take it if not buy a new one? *broke
